I'm looking for ways to monitor for pending apt (ubuntu/debian) apt security updates on our servers. Essentially something like https://nagios-plugins.org/doc/man/check_apt.html. Any ideas on this? I do collect system logs using systemd receiver, but I only see apt daily checks are running, but not if there are pending updates.
