does restarting clickhouse pod requires restart of collector pod?

i restarted clickhouse pod after increasing resources and was nothing was going into clickhouse so i checked collector logs and there were log of broken pipe errors, i had to restart collector pod.
is this needed?
has anyone else faced this?
