Hi George. So if you are someone who already has the knowledge of fluentD/have already had it setup in your systems. You can keep using that and forward your logs from fluentD to SigNoz. But if you starting things from scratch you should very well go ahead with SigNoz i.e using the otel-collector instead of fluentD. Apart from a few breaking upgrades from time to time, it is something that we see more people adopting and will help keep the stack simple.
The only tradeoff that might come right now is parsing capabilities. If your logs are too complex to parse and something like flunetD might help to keep the configurations simple then very well go ahead with it and in future, you can replace it with otel-collector.
