However, only NodeJS, Java and Python are currently supported for auto instrumentation.

Yeah I am hoping they add more. The one missing for my company is DotNet. However dotnet is a whole mess

Haha yeah and I've read Otel with .net is all dependent based on version what framework etc

version mapping might be there between different version of Otel SDKs and OtelCollector with breaking changes.. But not each version..
