It says you are not allowed to create account. What was the earlier signoz version you're running?

When did you create the admin?

when we switched to 0.8.2. I could not see the matrics page as it was asking to login. then i created admin. I logged out then tried to login. Its not allowing me to login.

You already had an account and creating new account was not allowed as it says in the screenshot. If you intended to create new users you need to login first and invited them. Some guide here https://signoz.io/docs/userguide/authentication/. And also you first need to upgrade to 0.8 and then 0.8.1. It had breaking changes. Why can't I get all the updates in 0.8.2 ? You want me to install in ascending order of your versions ?

Yes. You need to do this for the reason, different people have different migrations paths. For example you could be moving from 0.7.5 to latest directly but some had migrated to 0.8 and then we release patch versions. Current flow of upgrading to each breaking release is expected way. This experience will eventually be improved.

Isn't that only if we need to migrate our data?

Yes, for 0.8 if you don't want your old to migrated you can ignore that step.
