@User Yes, you should be able to pull prometheus metrics in SigNoz. Just to be clear, you already have an endpoint where prometheus metrics are exposed? Something like <macine-ip>:8000/metrics?
a
yes exactly
do you have a guide of how to do that, I tried to find it with no luck
p
Ok, got it. Let me check and get back to you
a
thanks
p
hey @User Here's a quick video on how you can see prometheus metrics data on SigNoz - https://share.getcloudapp.com/2NuPzLQe
If the graphs don't show up, let me know. We may need to ensure that you have the right metric name which you are using to plot graphs
a
This is great, an small confirmation, this will scrape a prometheus server or it can work to scrape a agent in a server. I{m relatively new, so that's why I ask
p
Not sure what you mean by agent in a server. I am assuming you would be running something like a node_exporter which exposes metrics on something like <ip>:8080 - The above setting should be able to scrape this
You don't need to run prometheus server, just the agent which sends these metrics
a
yes, is exactly what I refering. Awesome, thanks, will test these config
thanks for the guidance
