Hello team! Great progress on the logs explorer, log searching and filtering has improved greatly! Will there be a download option with the logs explorer? Would it be possible to download more log entries? The download available on the logs pane, only seemed to download what was visible in the browser and was less then 1 minute of log entries. Thanks. Great work!

Any reason why you want to export logs?

Due to the volume of Trace and Log data, we only retain 7 days of logs. We create tickets and attach logs to the ticket, to ensure the event info is still available when someone finally investigates the issue. There is no guarantee that the logs for a particular event will still be available due to retention.

@Al I couldn't understand why the logs in the visible browser section is not enough apart from the fact that you can copy individual log line json. Are you saying the download list should have more logs? Eg maybe give an option to download 100/500 log lines?

Yes, I receive requests to allow download of more log lines. The person that is creating the ticket does not always understand the source of the problem and allowing them to capture logs within a 5 min time range (for example) would be helpful to ensure they capture everything the developer requires to diagnose and resolve a problem. Some exceptions still come in logs and each frame of the stack trace is rendered on a separate line, I also receive feedback that users are unable to easily copy and paste the entire stack trace from the signoz UI. They must copy each individual line. Thank you!
